After taking out Best Newcomer On-Air at the 2016 Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs), Peter Samios followed up with a trifecta, accepting three awards at this year’s prestigious event, held in Melbourne on Saturday, 14 October.
Although living in Coonabarabran, Mr Samios travels to Dubbo each day where he works as content director for 93.5 StarFM
Mr Samios’ dedication to his job has again paid off, winning all three award categories in which he was nominated.
Individually, he was named Best Program Director (country), and played a role in securing team wins for Best Station Promotion (country) and Best Sales Promotion (country).
Now in its 29th year, the ACRAs are a celebration of the wealth of talent that drives the Australian Commercial Radio industry. The awards are designed to recognise excellence in all areas of radio broadcasting including news, talk, sport, music and entertainment.
All 33 award categories are peer judged, with judging panels comprised of industry members.
Winners are awarded in each category across three divisions: metropolitan, provincial and country commercial radio stations.
Jason Strozki, Peter Samios and Victoria Duncan accepted the award for Best Sales Promotion at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards in Melbourne on Saturday, 14 October.
