Strong support and sponsorship from the Coonabarabran community has been a driving force in the success of the annual North West Equestrian Expo, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary event on 2-6 June.
To mark the milestone, the Expo committee has planned two functions to thank supporters and sponsors for their continued assistance.
On Sunday, 4 June, a sponsors’ lunch will be held at the Showground, inside the Pursehouse Marquee, adjacent to the secretary’s office.
The committee will host a second luncheon on Monday, 5 June to recognise volunteers that have been involved in the event since 1992.
The inaugural winners of the Poole Family Shield for best four riders, the Coonabarabran High School team of Ren Rayner, Peta Davis, and Sally and Jane Snape, will be attending, while representatives from the Gower, Poole and McGoldrick families have also been invited.
Expo secretary, Rebecca Moxham, said the committee was grateful for the generosity of local people and businesses during the past two-and- a-half decades.
“Some of these businesses have been sponsors of Expo for all, or most of the 25 years, since the inception of the event,” Mrs Moxham said.
“During Expo, more than 140 trophy rugs will be presented to champions and event winners - each rug bears the name of the individual business that has sponsored the rug, along with the Expo logo.
“Many of the sponsors will be able to present their rugs personally, either during the event or at the nal parade on Tuesday, 6 June.”
